Covet It

You know when you decide to not buy something and then it lingers in your mind for a while so you go back to buy it.... And it's gone?

Then it's on your mind forever after.
Hrumph!
I really missed the boat on getting an amazing pair of light brown, ankle cowboy boots by Guess. I know, I know. Grand faute!! They would have gone with everything!

Here are some more perfect spring needs:
Slightly high wasted denim shorts.
All colors and washes. I like how the girl on the right cuffed them. Check out my DIY version HERE
And look at Kate Bosworth with her ankle cowboy boots! Darn again!

A bright colored ruffled skirt.
It will look great with basic, comfy tanks and transition well from day to night. You can even wear it in later seasons with tights.

Shoes littered with rosettes. Chunky bangles to brighten up pale colors.
The metallic gold ankle bow would be great to wear on your wrists as well. Also the rosette and bow pastel belt, yes please!
In fact, this whole ensemble is a dream.

Also, BRAIDS.
Relaxed side braids, Around the head braids, Braids with a scarf woven in, Crown braids, Heidi braids, Braids with fabric
Can't Get Enough!!

Up In The Air

Si nous créons notre propre destinée alors comment pouvons-nous aussi penser en le choix du
moment est tout? Je crois dans le destin. Mais je crois aussi dans la chance.
Si peut-être il est tous les deux ?

Buckle Up

Sometimes you develope a crush. And you can't stop thinking about them. This was one of those times.

The only thing I could do was to make them mine. The practical heel means I will wear them more and so far this has proven true. Never would I have thought I'd be going for a shorter heel, but that's what New York City does to you. Changes your whole way of thinking...

Like A Boy

It was last week when I decided I was in dire need of some brown Spectator shoes.

I didn't want to buy a pair from Steve Madden since they are not only pricey but I have already seen them on many people around town.
My love for vintage drew me to look at my amazing local vintage store and I ran into these.

Although they are not exactly the classic Spectators and they are not all brown, I really adore them. Since they are Cole Haan, I know they are quality and they Croc imprinted leather is divine.

Plus they cost only $15! I know, I can't believe it either. Such a perfect find! I love when the items I want just come to me. Must be good vintage Karma!

InStyle/ Moschino Party

Last night we went to the Moschino/InStyle party at the Moschino store in the Meatpacking district. White wine and spiked lemonade was being served. People milled around, handling the new Fall garments and exclaiming over the chic bags. But I found the store decor itself to be the most fun part of the evening.
There were adorable clusters of heart lights hanging low, peppering the ceiling and hearts engraved in the floor.
Check out the cute seat, shaped like a handbag :)

What really caught my eye was this black sued, ruffled wedge.
It's hard to see the detailing but they are soooo perfect for winter. Very retro feminine with a funky twist. I can see myself wearing them with a high-waisted tulip skirt and colored tights or liquid leggings with a studded tunic.

Drool!

Love at First Sight

Everyone knows what I’m talking about. That moment, when after just a glance, you know you have to make them yours.

And so you do.

Aren’t they amazing? The cream and black snakeskin is perfect for day or night and matches pretty much everything since they’re neutral colors. The crossing straps feel aggressive and modern to me; they are sure to update any outfit. The best part is the thick platform and chunky heel, I feel like I can walk all over the city in these babies.

I like to wear them with a bright colored dress so they really pop!
