Fashion's Night Out

Tomorrow is the first ever Fashion's Night Out!

It marks the beginning of a new era, where designers try to become more available to the public and really make fashion about the masses instead of the elite few. Although I don't expect much to change in any way, I do thinks it's a nice way to bring people together.

Anna Wintour spoke about this event in "hush hush" terms when I saw her lecture at the 92Y last May. I remember her saying the CFDA partnered with the city, but it's actually a global event.

Created to help stimulate the economy through shopping, all of the designers will be out and about the city promoting. There will be signings, customized t-shits, and special fashion shows. It's a veritable fashion carnival for us addicts who worship at the alter of Chanel and YSL.

So be sure to get out there, shop all over NY, and chat with your favorite designers. As for me...you can find me running around, hoping (trying) to see Mary-Kate and Ashley in person ;D
